Luke was in Surrey in a leafy village called Warlingham, to fit these shutters for a clients living room. The living room was home to a traditional sash bay window which needed a suitable solution for both lighting and privacy into one of the main rooms of the home.
The customer was also keen on taking advantage of our hardwood shutters to maximise the insulation in the home throughout the colder months, just one of the advantages of shutters over traditional window dressings! We used wood from our Fiji range to create the shutters.
Working with the client, it was chosen that we would install tier on tier shutters with the left and right panels specifically designed to bifold and sit neatly against the wall. This style of shutters works wonders on bay windows, our most flexible solution that can act at lower level much like café style shutters for privacy, but with the added advantage of adjustment at the top level as well.
We used centralised tilt rods on each panel, creating a traditional, yet still modern look to the shutters which works perfectly with the style of the living room and home. The shutters were finished in pure white with matching hinges.
