We were approached by a client who was having trouble sourcing a window dressing for his curved window. With any non standard window shapes you will have real trouble finding standard curtains or blinds that can work with the exact shaping and a bespoke solution is the best way forward. The customer was located in the area of Peckham, South East London where one of our fitting technicians Ben carried out the installation of these special shape shutters.
All our shutters are made to measure and can be created in a huge range of special shapes to suit all different types of windows. We also take measurements and create highly accurate shutters that not only fit with the window shape, but the exact contours so that even on older windows the shutters will have no light bleed around the edges.
In this case we used some full height shutters featuring a sunburst shape shutter at the top as part of the build, perfectly filling the window and creating a useable and stunning looking window dressing made for the client’s exact window!
We created these shutters from our Fiji Range and use 64mm louvres for these shutters with a hidden tilt rod system to help create a more minimalistic look which also matches well with the sunburst top. The whole installation was finished in silk white paint which looks great from inside the room and from the exterior of the property.
