Tom was in East London in Leyton, Waltham Forest to install some shutters for our client Ash. The customer was looking to have café style shutters installed throughout the living room and bedroom areas of the home on some lovely bay windows and a standard window. These rooms are all forward facing so the shutters will be able to be seen from outside of the property.
After surveying the home we created these café style shutters to perfectly match the windows of the home, with the shutters running exactly half way up each window in line with the window layouts. This is especially important when viewed from outside of the property and made café style shutters the perfect choice for this home.
Privacy and adjustment of lighting can now be achieved, which was especially important for the living room window where passers-by are able to look in.
As with many cafe style shutter installs the client opted to combine with curtains, which can be fully pulled across at night to block out the whole windows.
The shutters were made from out Antigua range with beaded styles and 3 sided insert L framing. All shutter panels feature centralised tilt rods which help create a traditional look and make the shutters simple to adjust. We finished the shutters in pure white with bright brass hinges, which as you can see looks great against the existing décor of all rooms. Ash was very impressed with the end result!
