As well as designing and installing shutters for homes, we also work at a range of properties including local businesses. This time we found ourselves at a local care home in Bromley, where the client required some large window shutters for their office area.
The design would help create a more inviting and modern look to the seating area and were to be designed to fit in with the existing décor and look of the room. We designed the shutters in a lovely Sea Mist colour which as you can see compliments the room very well and is a colour that we have recommended in the past to previous clients.
We created the shutters using our Fiji Range of hardwood, which is the ideal material for larger windows as they are lightweight, yet strong and also have a low thermal conductivity which is great for keeping rooms cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Being an area where visitors and the elderly regularly use we were keen to offer the best flexibility of light and temperature control at all times for the customer.
The shutters were designed with 76mm louvres which allow for maximum light entry creating a bright and welcoming area with smaller details added such as a hidden tilt rod system and nickel plated hinges, creating the modern and clean look they wished for.
