Tom was in Oxted, Surrey to kit out this lovely looking living room with some shutters that we had recently designed for the client. As you can see the room features multiple windows of different sizes, including the main bay window area. The windows beside the TV were narrower, but the design of the shutters still needed to perfectly match throughout.
We created all shutters in a full height style with nice thick 89mm louvres, the thickest on offer. This is great for allowing large amounts of light into the room and the size the client was keen on having after us discussing the options.
The shutters feature hidden tilt rods and a hidden split. Combined this makes for a contemporary, modern look to fit in perfectly with the look and style of the living room. With hidden tilt rods the client is free to adjust the louvres by hand, without the need for visible rods.
The hidden split in the shutters acts a mid rail without any wooden rail visible. The client can adjust the top and bottom of the shutters as if they had the visible mid rail as part of the design.
All shutters were fitted using 4 sided deep plain L frames and finished in pure white with matching hinges to fit in seamlessly with the colour of the existing windows. The shutters were made from our Antigua range of MDF rather than hardwood, which although a cheaper option does not compromise on style and looks!
