We were in Paddock Wood, Kent to install these shutters for a customer who was looking for a great looking, yet highly practical window solution for their front window.
The window itself is located in a lovely bay window area and after talking through all the options with the couple it was decided that we would install tier on tier shutters, created using MDF for a great looking yet cost effective solution! Ben was on hand for the install.
Interestingly the wife was keen on the idea that it would create a screen for her to carry out her knitting projects, with top and bottom level adjustment she can get the perfect mix of lighting and privacy that she needs.
Facing out to the street, the bottom half can act as great privacy, much like our café style shutters we regularly fit to bay windows, but with the tier on tiers the top half can also be closed off when needed, perfect for at night.
These shutters offer the best control over lighting whatever time of the day, the narrow panels feature louvres with hidden tilt rod systems which can all be easily adjusted by touch and create an uncluttered look without the visible rods. The shutters finished in white also look great against the sculptured coving above!
