Ben was in Northfleet, Kent to install these full height shutters for a customer’s living room bay window area of this terraced house. After discussing the options and our client’s requirements, it was decided to create a modern, warm feel to match with the interior. Using a silent tilt rod system so that no visible rods were showing helped us achieve the desired look. We created the shutters in a bright white with matching hinges and hardware.
The customer was also keen to get a good mixture of lighting and privacy from the street outside while not hampering the view. We used mid rails a third of the way from the top which not only helps to achieve this, but perfectly matches with the existing lines of the windows.
From the outside of the property the shutters contrast nicely against the natural wood grain styled window frames achieving a unique look from outside and inside of the property. The shutters needed to be fitted snug against the windows to preserve the long window sill and we used T-Posts to support the panels discreetly.
