Tom was on hand to install these shutters for a client in Welling, Kent. The shutters had been bespoke made to fit this wide bedroom window which uniquely also features an angled section at the left hand side. Our surveyors take perfect measurements and to make sure that our made to measure shutters fit perfectly, no matter the sizing or angles we encounter.
These shutters are created in a full height style, featuring mid rail two thirds of the way up the window, perfectly lining up with the window framing behind. The mid rail also acts as strength and importantly a way for the client to operate the top and bottom louvres independently. Great for letting some lighting or air in through the top sections, without compromising the bottom section.
The shutters are also bi-folding so neatly fold all the way to the sides, allowing full view and lighting through the window. We used 76mm louvres and a hidden tilt rod system to create a clean look, with beaded stiles for a touch of tradition! We crafted the shutters from our Fiji range which is an extremely lightweight material, perfect for windows like this and also one of our best quality woods available.
The customer was amazed with the end result, which works so well with this beautifully decorated bedroom, the pure white painted shutters sit great against the current wallpaper décor!
