Tom was in our local area of Bromley, Kent to install some café style shutters for a customer. Previously the customer had discussed with Luke about the best options for their room for privacy, lighting and adjusting. The client lives on a busy road so was in need of the privacy, but during the day also composed music so required maximum lighting at the same time.
Luke discussed all options with our client, but ultimately recommended our café style shutters. A great option perfect for the musician, as they let maximum light in at all times of the day through the top, but can be adjusted or fully closed for privacy at the lower level to block out the main road.
We designed the café style shutters to run two thirds of the way up the window to gain the best privacy and also conveniently we were able to match the shutters up with the lines of the windows behind. Our bespoke design and build of our shutters creates the look to exactly match your home and window which is all taken into account when we discuss your new shutter design with you.
The shutters were made from our lightweight paulownia hardwood Fiji Range featuring 64mm louvres with silent tilt rods, which mean that the shutter louvres can be adjusted without any need for slightly rods. We finished the shutters in pure white with matching hinges which look fantastic from inside the room and outside of the property!
